I designed the entire report at breakneck speed in order to meet the compressed timeline. Within two months, I explored new style treatments, created multiple options for the cover design, and laid out 116 pages of content.
The report contains nearly 100 hyperlinks to external reports and in-document cross-references – all of which I tracked, checked, and double-checked for accuracy.
This new table is a looker
Appendices might be boring, but they don't have to be ugly. I created this clean, visually pleasing table to help readers through the slog of reading the monotonous, yet important information contained within.
Designing the Cover
Unlike many clients I've worked with, ACHP has a very large photo library. Having so many beautiful photos available made designing the cover a challenge. In the end, the client chose a relatively conservative cover design, whereas my favorite was a bit more adventurous.
Visual Style Explorations
Before laying out the content, I created new styling options for several components within the report. In these studies, I explored new treatments for things like the table of contents, chapter breaks, and the interplay between photos and text. Through this iterative process, I found ways to give the 2024 a unique look compared to past editions while staying within the boundaries of ACHP's existing brand guidelines.
