Analysis of the Old Site
We began by analyzing the old website's content, design, and analytics, and compared the results to the company's business objectives.
We found that it came up short in two key strategic areas: (1) the site lacked a clear purpose and audience, and (2) it did little to encourage potential partners and recruits to engage with the company.
Obtaining Client Buy-In
After the analysis, I presented our team's findings and new design strategy to MedOne's director of communications. We obtained buy-in from the client and planned specific improvements.
Site Map
We created a new site map to plan design improvements and to explore ideas for developing content that supports MedOne's business objectives.
Wireframes
After the site map was approved, I translated the written ideas into visual form through wireframe sketches.
Visual Design and Prototype
Then, I built visual designs and a semi-working prototype for each page on the site. During this phase, I collaborated with Formation Studio's web developer to ensure the planned design would work as intended on the live site.
Design System
I fleshed out a robust design system to guide the development phase, including a comprehensive color palette, typographic styles, and icon library.
The New Website
As a result of our collaborative effort, the new MedOne website is easier to skim, has more compelling messaging, and does a better job supporting the company's recruiting and business-development initiatives.
