Alta Impact Website Facelift

In 2024, I worked with business consultant, Jay Messner, to refresh the visual design of his website, altaimpact.com. During the process, I found opportunities to streamline the site's user interface, improve the information hierarchy, and add content to showcase how Jay delivers results for his clients.

Improvements

After meeting with Jay to discuss his goals for the site and examining the previous version, I proposed the following improvements:

User interface
• Streamlined navigation
• Removed duplicative CTA buttons
• Added a persistent "Contact Us" button to header and footer
• New footer with navigation, social links, and CTA button

Visual design
• Tighter layout
• Refined typographic hierarchy
• Upgraded icons and photography
• Better differentiation between content sections

Value-added features
• New mobile-optimized design
• Added testimonials sections to illustrate credibility

Visual Design Mockup

To flesh out design improvements for all six pages on the site, I created a full-size interactive mockup. Jay and I used the tool to share ideas, collect feedback, and to obtain approval for the final designs.

Visual Language Development

As part of the visual design process, I worked with Jay to develop a refined visual language for the site. We explored options for new typographic styles, expanded the color palette to include supporting colors, and curated a new library of stock photos and icons.
